A Shade of Vampire/ Une nuance de vampire, tome 19 : A soldier of shadows de Bella Forrest

Image
Présentation de l'éditeur : "His time will come..."

Mon avis :

Everything we ever wanted de Sara Shepard

Image
Présentation de l'éditeur : For the Bates-McAllister family, one phone call awakens questions and feelings lain dormant for years, unravelling a tangled web of secrets and lies, which leads them all on individual journeys that, combined, forever changes all of their lives.
Lecture commencée le 20 Décembre 2017, terminée le 24 Décembre 2017
Mon avis :

A tale of less pride and prejudice, tome 3 : Holidays at Pemberley or Third Encounters de Alexa Adams

Image
Présentation de l'éditeur : "Charlotte smiled from across the room at the man's obvious devotion to her friend. Such attachment was very charming, undoubtedly, and when it came to an end, as it was most certain to do, they would have abundant good fortune to keep the inevitable aggravations with each other to a minimum. "
Both a Christmas celebration and conclusion to Tales of Less Pride & Prejudice, Holidays at Pemberley begins where First Impressions ends, with the marriage Fitzwilliam Darcy to Elizabeth Bennet, and spans the course of Second Glances to conclude their story. As the Darcys enjoy their first years of marriage, Charlotte Lucas is often invited to join them. Watching as the Bennet sisters, one by one, marry to both outrageous advantage and with great affection, her only ambition remains independence and respectability, stubbornly blind to the virtues of a love match. Miss Lucas thinks she has found an acceptable husband in David Westov…

Mon avis :

A Match For Mary Bennet: Can A Serious Young Lady Ever Find Her Way To Love? de Eucharista Ward

Image
Présentation de l'éditeur : A unique and inspirational Pride and Prejudice sequel that will resonate with all readers who can relate to Mary Bennet's determination to live according to God's wishes
Written by a Franciscan nun, this is a sympathetic tale of the middle Bennet sister from Pride and Prejudice. Pious Mary Bennet tries to do her duty in the world as she thinks God envisions it.

Initially believing (mistakenly) that her sister Elizabeth married well only in order to provide for her sisters, Mary is happy to be relieved of the obligation to marry at all so that she can continue her faithful works.

But she begins to have second thoughts after further studying marriage through her sisters' experiences as well as spending time with two young men. One is a splendid young buck whose determined courtship must have ulterior motives; the other is a kindly, serious young clergyman whose friendship Mary values more and more. One day she realizes that God very…

A compromise at Rosings Park de Isabelle Mayfair

Image
Présentation de l'éditeur : Elizabeth Bennet's stay at Hunsford Lodge is interrupted by a shocking marriage proposal from the man she dislikes most in the world; the proud and arrogant Mr Darcy. After rejecting him, she is required to follow him into the woods to return the hat he left behind, before it is discovered that he had visited her. She is shocked to see he is in far greater pain at her refusal than she realised and when she seeks to comfort him, he forgets himself and kisses her.
Unfortunately, Mr Collins, Elizabeth's cousin, witnesses it and not recognising Mr Darcy, is pleased to inform Mr Darcy's aunt, the formidable Lady Catherine de Bourgh of Rosings Park, that the pert Miss Bennet's reputation has been compromised. It seems a fitting revenge for a woman who had rejected his own offer of marriage not so long ago.
But when Mr Darcy reveals himself as the man who compromised Miss Bennet, and is therefore the man who is required to marry her …

Sex comes to Pemberley de Mary Bennet

Image
Présentation de l'éditeur : Sex Comes to Pemberley moves from innocence to experience. Kitty s girlish fantasies about her dream-husband, Wickham, are shattered by a letter from Lydia, which gives a vivid account of her seduction in a seedy London inn. Contrary Mary cynically observes how the Bennet s family life is dominated by the Georgian marriage market and then reveals how she came to lose her own virginity before deciding to devote herself to the life of a writer. After the novella s central chapter in which love and lust meet harmoniously in the shady grounds of Pemberley, Jane s private, sometimes coded, journal reveals unexpected truths about her own sexual behavior and the gay scene in Regency London. Finally, in a half-asleep monologue, Mrs Bennet reflects on the love lives of her daughters intermingled with memories and fantasies centering on the present, past and future of her own sex life."

Mon avis :
L'auteure s…

The Longbourn Letters: The Correspondence between Mr Collins & Mr Bennet de Rose Servitova

Image
Présentation de l'éditeur : Where Pride and Prejudice ends, a new relationship begins.
Good-humoured but detached and taciturn, Mr Bennet is not given to intimacy. Largely content with his life at Longbourn, he spends his evenings in the solitude of his library, accompanied only by a glass of port and a good book. But when his cousin, the pompous clergyman Mr Collins, announces his intention to visit, Mr Bennet is curious to meet and appraise the heir to his estate.
Despite Mr Bennet’s initial discouragement, Mr Collins quickly becomes a frequent presence in his life. They correspond regularly, with Mr Collins recounting tales of his follies and scrapes and Mr Bennet taking great pleasure from teasing his unsuspecting friend.
When a rift develops between the men, Mr Bennet is faced with a choice: he must withdraw into isolation once again or acknowledge that Mr Collins has brought something new and rich to his life.
Tender, heart-warming and peppered with disarming humou…

Twilight of the True Blood Vampire Diaries de Gary Ghislain

Image
Présentation de l'éditeur : Destiny means everyone is here on earth for a good reason. Elise’s reason was Johan Devreau, the most popular boy in her high school. That was until new strange tenants moved in the penthouse of her building and turned her into one of them: an undead. Running after Johan becomes an entirely different sport, and exclusively a night time activity. But if Johan is finally warming up to a girl who can fly or materialize in his room whenever she feels like it, their love is forbidden by Vincent, the master vampire who turned her. To live happily ever after, they need to destroy him and his spell on her. They enroll an aging YA writer newly specialized in vampire series, and their improbable team go vampire hunting, with the unrealistic hope to make it alive from dusk to dawn.

Un what'if original... Lydia Bennet's Blog: The real story of Pride and Prejudice de Valerie Laws

Image
Présentation de l'éditeur : If you enjoyed ‘Lost in Austen’ or ‘Clueless’, you’ll love Lydia, the streetwise youngest Bennet, a modern teen living in Regency times. She’s funny, flirty, rebellious, obsessed with fashion and fit boys, and a force to be reckoned with. Find out what really happened behind the scenes in Pride and Prejudice as Lydia schemes to save herself and her clueless family from a cash-free future, and to get her man, the supremely sexy bad boy Wickham. By an odd quirk of history, Lydia’s generation use our teen-speak, though with Regency derivations. Whether you love or loathe Jane Austen or just like a good laugh, you’ll enjoy Lydia’s conniving, eavesdropping, Mr Collins-outing, Pa-baiting, shamelessly flirtatious and outrageous adventures.
